Hello PC world.
I'm in desperate need of some cross-platform PowerPoint help.
My agency has made Proxima Nova our official font.
Whatever platform you choose to run PowerPoint, be it Windows or Mac, make sure you’re using the latest version of the software. This will reduce incompatibility issues and will allow you to make use of improved functionality as new features are added to the Mac build.
So both my Mac-based studio and my PC-based executives are using the font.
Right now, I'm pulling my hair out because I can't get the ENTIRE family of Proxima Nova to work in the PC environment.
Mac-created PowerPoint decks that use all of the weights of the Proxima Nova font family can't load all the same weights on the PC.
So then PowerPoint substitutes a weight up and throws all of the line-breaks off.
THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!
I have 3 execs that are expecting me to solve this.
'Just use a different weight' is NOT a solution.
This is a design deck and REQUIRES ALL WEIGHTS.
I've tried 2 different families (Proxima Nova & Proxima Nova Alt) and both have issues.
What is it with PowerPoint and this fricking font.
The culprits seem to be the Light, Extra Bold and Bold.
My fate is in your hands.
Is it possible someone has a definitive solution?
I've been suggested to try, tried and failed with many low-level suggestions.
Embedding fonts, alternative font families, deactivation and reinstalling...
None of these work.
Please help me ASAP!
